Luggage Point STP – Inlet Works Screens Upgrade

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The project involved the design and construct of the new screens and wash press system on the existing inlet works. To allow for the continued operation of the plant, the upgrade was carried out through a staged process, shutting down 2 banks a time, using double isolation temporary stop walls to divert flow.  Stirloch design the launder and wash press system as an alternative to the clients screw conveyors, which provided a cost effective design solution for QUU.  The project also includes an upgrade to the electrical and control systems, modifications to internal concrete walls, new pump stations, pipeworks and commissioning of the plant.
